2010 KARAOKE MASTER Contest

General Contestant Guidelines
Competition to begin Wednesday, January 13, 2010 then continue weekly, every Wednesday, through March 10, 2010.
All Preliminary events will be held exclusively at the following location: Lakeside Grill & Sports Club located at 528 8th St. in Downtown Clermont, FL.
- All contestants must pay an entry fee of $30.00 ($25 pre-register) and complete an official Entry Form to be eligible (must be 18 years of age or older to enter). Exceptions will be considered with written parental consent but no younger then 16 years of age.
- Contests will be held weekly. Unsuccessful contestants may compete at subsequent contest events at no additional cost provided there are available openings. A winner of any preliminary event cannot continue to compete until the Semi's.
- Each weekly preliminary event will be a contest in itself and may offer an incentive prize for the top two winners of that event. The top two positions of each preliminary event will advance to the semi's (16 positions). Alternates will also be chosen during the semi's based on score. Only 8 finalists and 4 alternates will advance to the finale.
- Judging at all preliminary events will be done by audience volunteers selected by contest officials. There will be formal official judging at the finale.
- The finale will be held on Saturday evening March 13, 2010 at the 2010 "Pig on the Pond" Event at Waterfront Park in Clermont.
PRIZES
- First Place: $500.00
- Second Place: $300.00
- Third Place: $100.00
Pre-Show Alternates Contest: $100.00 (By Audience Applause)
Entry Cost
The Pre-Registration entry fee is $25. Entry at the door is $30. There is no additional cost for Re-Entry.

Contest History
The "Central Florida Stars Karaoke Contest" is an exclusive production of Smooth Musical Entertainment which originated in Clermont, Florida in 2004. The contest gained even more notoriety when it became a featured entertainment event of Clermont's popular "Pig on the Pond" Festival which is held annually at the waterfront park on Lake Minneola. The finale of the contest has been one of the events main entertainment attractions since 2007 and continues to be a local favorite as contestants compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
In 2009, the name of the contest was changed to "Karaoke Master" Karaoke Contest in order to develop a better branding and marketing strategy as the contest continues to enjoy growing popularity and success!
